At Townmore, ensuring the health and safety of our team, our supply chain, the general public and all stakeholders is of paramount importance. We are justly proud of the standards and goals we have set, which have again been recognised with the recent retention of our Safe T Cert accreditation. We first achieved Safe T Cert in 2011 and have now managed to retain same for the sixth year in a row, confirming our ongoing commitment to the highest health and safety standards. Having achieved an A standard for the third year running, we have retained our space as one of Ireland’s safest Contractors.
Coupled with our OHSAS 18001 standard, and as part of our integrated management system along with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, we are now striving to become one of the first construction companies in Ireland to be accredited to ISO 45001, the newest International Standard for Occupational Health and Safety, which we anticipate will be officially launched in early 2018. This new standard centres around the implementation of new requirements “providing a framework to improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks and create better, safer working conditions, all over the world”.
