Having completed Phase 1 of the refurbishment of the Conrad Hotel in early 2016, the New Year has brought the team back into the hotel to begin Phase 2. Townmore have already completed the refurbishment of the Ground Floor facilities including the foyer, over ninety bedrooms and both the Coburg brasserie and Lemuel’s lounge bar.
Phase 2 of the works will include the strip out of a further 100 bedrooms and the fitout of same with high-end bespoke finishes from suppliers across the world. Furthermore, Townmore will carry out a complete refurbishment of one of the function rooms and install a new entrance vestibule.
The design has been undertaken by Glasgow based Architects Cunningham McLean with input from Dublin based Hussey Architects and US based Hilton Design. The works, headed by Construction Director Denis Lahart, are expected to take four months to complete with many of the bespoke materials and fittings currently arriving in from Italy, Serbia, and further afield, ultimately realising some of Ireland’s finest hotel rooms.
As per Phase 1, the hotel will remain open for the duration of the works.
