Renovation / Alterations & Extension of the existing Franciscan Friary Residence and convert same from Single Friary residence to 8 no. one-bed apartments, commercial kitchen, meeting rooms, offices, living area and communal dining room. The existing building was a protected structure therefore it was necessary to take out and re-instate many features and elements of the existing Friary building.
The project also involved construction of 7 no. Bungalows, 2 no. one-bed apartments with associated site-works & walling
Consisted of traditional concrete strip foundation together with reinforced pad, beam and concrete column construction.
Consisted of cavity wall construction / Cedar Cladding with pitched and flat roof construction. The pitched roof consisted of prefabricated trusses and natural slates and the flat roof consisted of precast concrete roof with Trocal membrane.
Consisted mostly of modern design and detailing.
New Surface water and foul sewer pipe-work connected to Local Authority sewers and on site attenuation system.
